New boutique designer!!! Meet Dardi...

We've here at TSB have the pleasure of introducing our newest designer, Dardi.
Here's what Dardi had to say...
Hi I am Dardi, better known as DtsArt on the web. I am in the middle of rearing 4 terrific kids with my wonderful husband. Family life can be hectic but we have lot of fun. I have been crafting about 11 years, graphic and web designing for about 8, and paper crafting for about 2 or 3. I get the artistic gene from my Mom and 2 older sisters who all collectively, cook, bake, sew, crotchet, knit, write, draw, paint, cross stitch, do interior design, and make jewelry. I am believe it or not the least talented in the group. It is interesting how the artistic gene manifest itself through the generations. A couple of my kids are already showing artistic inclination.

My favorite part of paper crafting is working with digital stamps and die cuts. I love creating things on the computer and then bringing it to life as a tangible item. It is a thrill for me. I am elated to be on The Stamping Boutique Design Team. I can’t wait to jump in with my computer, scissors, and paper and start creating.

We're so happy you're here,Dardi!!! Your art is fabulous!!!

Sponsoring 2 challenges this week

We are super excited to start 2011 with a BANG here at TSB and our designers have been busy working on projects for upcoming challenges this month. First off we are honored to once again be sponsoring the first challenge of 2011 over at Cards For Men. The prize up for grabs is 5 dig images of winner's choice and you will want to enter on Cards for Men blog as Tracey has been busy adding lots of images perfect for Valentine's Day to TSB store.  While there check out the AWESOME inspiration from the Cards for Men team. This week is a sketch challenge and I have 2 wonderful samples to share with you from TSB gals!

First off me have this wonderful card from Marie using the Prince Gael image.  I love the color pallet she chose to work with along with the added texture and perfect sentiment to accompany image. You can check out more of Marie's work on her blog Cardmaking Bird.

Next up check out this beauty courtesy of Stacie, doesn't this color pallet just "POP" off the page!  She chose to work with this super sweet image called Baby Fairy.  What little one doesn't have their daddy wrapped around their finger, right?

You can see more of Stacie's talent on her blog Hestia's Helper.

We also very excited to be a new sponsor for the entire month of January for challenge site Critter Sketch Challenge Blog. This week is a sketch challenge and boy do I have a treat for you because the TSB ladies have made some wonderful samples to share.

All I can say is "How does she do this?"  Aletha has an amazing way of just making an image come to life in her coloring. She always seems to pick the perfect paper and accessories to complete her masterpieces.  If you want to be inspired, stop by her blog AJ's Designs and have a peek!

Marie has also been as busy as the cute bee image she chose to work with called Busy Bees. Don't you just love the wonderful buttercup yellow paper and embellies she used?   Again check out her blog Cardmaking Bird for more wonderful projects.

Melissa has also created a super cute card using the darling image Princess Gwendolyn from the Medieval line. Perfect image for all those lil' princesses in your life getting ready to celebrate a birthday or special event. Too see more of Melissa's fantastic projects, head on over and check out her blog Melissa's Creative Space.

ScrapbookTop50 #35!!!!

Did anyone notice that we moved up from 45 to 35 today on ScrapbookTop50??????
Way to go, everyone!!!!

Penny Candy

Good morning,
I reworked an older image called, "Emma in the Candy Store" I simplified it a little and improved on some things. I'm calling it "Penny Candy" I think it's a lot better now. As with all my new work, the resolution is much better, simply because I now have better skills in Photoshop.
I've been thinking about saving these new images and having them made into rubber and not offering them in digi format. I can't really offer them in both for practical reasons. Which do you as crafters prefer? Rubber stamps or digi?
